NOTE: Some people have had trouble viewing the projector slides so I put those pictures up. However, I should point out that the system requirements for the SF maps are significantly higher than for the regular AA maps. If your computer has such a bad configuration that you can't even see these slides then I don't know how much performance you'd be able to get on those maps. I hope you do get to play those maps though cause they are quite fun. Slide 1: BTR-80

General Notes The whole thing shouldn’t take you more than 20 minutes if you can easily follow this walkthrough. Ignore my times as I was typing and taking screenshots at the same time.

Objective A
Unless otherwise specified you should always be in the prone position. You begin at the LZ and here go through the only path. This path divides a little up ahead. Take the first right. Stay on the left when you get to those big boulders (picture 1). After the boulders there’s a path that goes up the mountain. There’s an enemy at the top. He won’t see you if you use slow prone. Cross the path and get to the bolder across (picture 2). You’re not going up the path, you’re going across it. Go through the left of the bolder across and soon you’ll reach another path up the mountain to your left. To your right will be an enemy camp (picture 3). If you continue at slow prone nobody should spot you. Go up the path (you don’t need slow prone here). When you get to the top you’ll see a tower across and an enemy on the hill to your right. Go towards the tower and you’ll reach a small bridge (picture 4). Checkpoint A is right before you reach the little bridge. |

Objective B
Go under the bridge and follow the river bed to your right. You can actually run here a little bit once you pass the hill corner and the tower behind you doesn’t see you anymore. Soon you’ll reach some new boulders and you’ll see a new tower (picture 5). Take the path to the left (away from the tower) after the boulders. Continue strait up this path. Go fast prone and stay in the middle of it. To the left you’ll see a path that leads to the tower and bridge of Objective A. Keep going strait. Avoid going through trees. Eventually you'll see a tower up ahead (picture 6). Ignore it for now and just keep following the path to the left. As you go through the path you’ll come to a spot where the tower on your right shines its light on your path (picture 7). Use slow prone here and approach the spot where the light shines. The light hits the rocks here very briefly, and then goes away for a few moments. In the interval you should have plenty of time to cross the spot. Stay in the middle as you cross. Avoid crawling next to the boulders or through the trees because you’ll get spotted. After you have passed this spot you can switch back to fast prone. Keep going strait and you’ll reach objective B (picture 8). |

Objective C
At the beginning you will see the path divide into two (picture 8). There’s a tower and some boulders to your right, and another path to your left. We’ll take the path to the right through the tower. As you crawl through here stay close to the boulders on your left (the ones next to the tower, picture 9). Use slow prone when going through the trees so you don’t make noise. Don’t worry about the tower light. Just stay on the left next to the boulders and you should have no problems. After you’ve passed the tower, cross on the right side of the path and keep crawling . You should see an OpFor camp in front of you (picture 10). Stay to the right as you reach the little bridge and go into the river bed. Be careful when going down to the river bed because your character might stand up due to the steep banks (picture 11). Also note the humvee far across the river. When we come out of the river we’ll be right next to this one and the soldier. Follow the river bed. Before you get to the end, there’s a boulder on the left which is climbable (picture 12). Again be careful here because your character might stand up (stupid game bugs). As you try to climb this out of the river you might have to switch between prone and crouch, because it is too step at some points for prone. Don’t worry to much as nobody should see you here. Make sure you’re prone when you reach the top. There’s a soldier on the road to your left. Go southwest when out of the river towards the big truck (picture 13). Use slow prone to make sure the soldier doesn’t hear you. Keep crawling all the way to the truck. Go on the driver side of the truck and press the use key on the door. All done! Congratulations on finishing one of the most long, pointless and annoying missions ever designed. You should now be a certified camper! |
